Beautiful walks from La Méridienne

La Méridienne, a chic and authentic guest house in the Alpilles, is ideally located in the Regional Natural Park. Indeed, you will be very close to the largest cities in the south of France, but also the most beautiful villages and the most pleasant hikes. We can show you routes and lend you maps for hikes or short walks in the Alpilles from our establishment. For a bike or horse ride, a bicycle rental company and two equestrian centers are in the town of Mouriès. At La Méridienne, we will give you the best addresses for your expeditions in the countryside.

The wine estates

The Alpilles region is known for having inspired a large number of artists, but also for being home to many exceptional vineyards. This natural site, shaped by men and by time, has allowed the creation of a rich and fragile identity where the production of wine and olive oil are present. Walk the wine route to discover the Domaine Dalmeran, the Château d'Estoublon, but also the Mas de Sainte-Berthe. Don't miss the Mas de Gourgonnier, the Mouriès wine estate.

The different golf courses

Just 2 kilometers from our charming guest house in the Alpilles is the Golf de Servanes. Golf enthusiasts and true initiates can meet on the green. The Servanes golf course has 18 holes. For a sports session, go 6 minutes by car from La Méridienne.

A walk on the beach

Whether you prefer the beaches of the Côte Bleue or the Camargue, you will be less than an hour's drive from the premieres. By staying in our guest rooms with swimming pool in the Alpilles, you will be close to the beaches of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Marseille and Martigues.

The antique market in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

Are you a vintage fan? Do you like to hunt? Do you like objects with a story? The antique market in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is for you. The capital of antiques welcomes you all year round to its flea market which is held every Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm, less than an hour's drive from our guesthouse.

The votive festivals of the Alpilles

The year in the Alpilles is punctuated by unmissable festivals. Discover the Abrivado, a bullfighting tradition, which involves releasing bulls in the closed streets of a city or town. Votive festivals are organized in many villages and towns in the Alpilles, in order to honor the Provençal terroir and that of the Camargue.

Montmajour abbey

Less than a 30-minute drive from La Méridienne, we invite you to discover the Abbey of Montmajour. This building was founded in 948 by Benedictine monks. This abbey was intended for a community of 50 to 80 monks. Different architectural styles are represented: Romanesque, Gothic and Classical, witnesses of more than 8 centuries of history.

The Saint-Sixte Chapel in Eygalières

This Romanesque chapel is located in the small town of Eygalières. The Saint-Sixte Chapel dates from the 12th century and is classified as historical monuments. Overlooking the village, this chapel represents Provençal Romanesque art. You will be charmed by this exceptional building steeped in history.
